What to Expect at Your Installation Appointment

Our installation overview will help you understand what to expect at the time of install as we listen to your needs, wants, expectations and communicate how we can help. We want you to feel comfortable with our process and asking us questions.  We do require someone from the household or a representative to be at the install to approve the antenna location, where we will run our cable, etc.  The following is a high-level overview of what you can expect at your appointment below.:

Will I need a Site Survey?

Yes. Prior to installation of services, an Etheric technician will perform a site survey to confirm line-of-sight to our tower. You will receive communication from an Etheric Business representative with the date and time of a survey.

Do I need to be onsite for the installation?

Yes. We will confirm your installation details, such as date/time and point of contact for the day, with your Business Account Representative via email or phone. This will prevent issues when the technician arrives.

What equipment do I need to provide?

You will need to provide your own router. We will support any router that is not labeled Comcast, Verizon or AT&T. The technician will bring all Etheric equipment, parts, and materials. Here is an example of some routers you can purchase.

How long will the install take?

Scheduled appointment length is approximate. The complete installation will take from 2 to 3 hours but can vary significantly based on install complexity. Installation is based on our completed survey inspection.

Will I receive an IP Address?

Yes. We will provision our equipment prior to installation and send over all IP Address information via email for your records. This will have important contact information for Support, Billing and Sales for additional questions.

Will my Internet be activated?

Yes. The Etheric technician will not leave your home or business until service is up and running. You are responsible for integrating and troubleshooting your own computer or network. Etheric will only support the Etheric owned devices.

Note: Etheric technicians have an allotted time for each job based on the service requested. Our technicians will not be able to accommodate additional work requests made the day of your scheduled visit. You will need to schedule another appointment for other requests.

 

  • Please make sure all gates and fences are unlocked, as the technician may require access to both the inside and outside of your home.
  • Please point out any personal property the technician needs to be aware of to prevent unnecessary damage, including, but not limited to, underground obstructions, trees/landscaping, attic and hazardous crawlspace conditions, etc.
  • Please secure all pets while our technician is at your location.
